Perko Lantern ca 1910
This is a fine lantern that is complete with font, burner and chimney. The Perko name is prominent on the brass plate. While dating from the early 1900s, this lantern was never used. There is no soot in the chimney and the wick and burner show no evidence of ever having been lit. The lantern is made of galvanized steel with a brass cap, font and burner. As you can see, it is a Port light as the Fresnel lens is red. The lantern is good sized measuring approximately 14&1/2 inches tall and 7&1/2 inches in diameter at the base. It is most unusual to find a complete unit like this and in "as new" condition. Click on photos for enlarged view.
